What do you love about working as a Registered Nurse?

As a registered nurse, what I love most about working in this field is that it gives me the opportunity to carry out my passion as a nurse. I love what I do. For example, administering medications to my patients and seeing the progress they make even at the end of my shift, holding conversations, and interacting with my patients gives me a sense that I have done my very best. One of my favorite practices to do is place IVs. I love, love, to do this, even when it is challenging. Offering teamwork with my colleagues is wonderful. I love that I am able to provide healthcare, love, and support to people during tough times in their lives. That is the basis of my nursing career.

What career advice will you give to the new and aspiring nurses in your field?

Tips for a successful nursing career by Donarie:

• Love what you do because if you don't, it's going to be very stressful for you and make you miserable, and that's something you don't want because it can interfere with your practice.
• It's a beautiful experience. You will be meeting people of different cultures and backgrounds.
• You will feel a sense of accomplishment while treating your patients.

What was the best part of being associated with DirectShifts?

I feel secure. Whenever I call or text a member of the team, the response is immediate and everything is transparent. There is no beating around the bush. I get my situation sorted out as soon as possible, and I don't have to wait forever.
